Scaffolding : Zine
(2023)▫
Scaffolding is an artist book containing a collection of printed grids as structures in a pattern of the everyday. It was inspired by systems, frameworks in physical environments and nature. The narrative has two contrasting voices—soft in daylight and another under a blue light with glowing colors.
The zine edition was made in collaboration with Center for Book Arts in NYC on the occasion of the Scaffolding exhibition. Most of the edition of 100 are for sale through the Center for Book Arts.
Risograph printing was done in two locations mostl with fluorescent inks. Tricia printed on a SF5450 in New Hampshire and on a MH9450 at Center for Book Arts in NYC in collaboration with Camilo Otero during the cold winter months of 2023.
The book cloth is letterpress printed using plates from the original artist book.
